HUMBOLDT

Festuca commutata

Chewings fescue

Another step towards ideal turf

STRI Bingley top rank
In all trial types HUMBOLDT reaches the top level.

Green trials
Outstanding scores for shoot density, visual merit and resistance to red thread.  Can advantageously be added to mixtures with Browntop bent and Slender creeping red fescue on top playing golf greens. For further sustainability in pure fine fescue greens: Chewings + Slender creeping red fescue.

Lawn trials
Mown at lawn height (in UK conditions this is still very close mowing!), HUMBOLDT is incredibly dense and fine. Go for it for the most demanding prestige lawns!

Cold tolerance
Chewings fescue has one of the very best winter hardiness levels.
